When I was younger, I remember cutting up my dad’s magazines to save the illustration that spoke to me. In more recent years, I’ve been surrounded by talented artists at work. And although I’m no longer cutting up magazines for inspiration, I’m inspired by my coworkers to draw and paint outside of work.
When I began painting with watercolor, I learned that it’s the most unforgiving medium. But once I learn how to let go of control, as part of the art, it’s extremely therapeutic and cathartic.
Lately I’ve been painting with digital medium as well. I found that the painting process between digital and analog are pretty much the same. Both are equally satisfying with their limitation and strength.
